Getting started
Welcome to EmbedStaff. Here's how to get your directory live in under 10 minutes.
1. Create your account
Sign up at app.embedstaff.com/register. No credit card required - the free plan supports up to 15 staff and never expires.
2. Add your first staff members
Go to the Staff page. Hit Quick Add to instantly populate three demo staff members so you can see the directory in action before entering your own data. When you're ready, add staff manually with the + Add Staff button, or import your whole team from a CSV (Starter and above).
3. Customise your directory
Head to Customize to set your brand colour, choose a layout, and pick a font. Every change previews live in the dashboard - desktop and mobile - before you save.
4. Copy and paste your embed snippet
Go to Embed and copy your two-line snippet. Paste it into your website once - in an HTML block, Code Block, or custom code section. The directory loads automatically and updates itself whenever you make changes in the dashboard. You never need to re-paste it.
5. Verify it's live
On the Embed page, enter the URL of the page where you pasted the snippet and click Check. The verifier fetches your page and confirms the widget script is present. You'll see a green confirmation or a specific error if something isn't right.
Free plan limits
The free plan supports up to 15 staff, 1 directory, and 1 custom field. It includes the Card Grid layout, EmbedStaff branding, and community support only. Paid plans start at $19/month - see pricing for details.
